Tasting Notes
The 2021 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon represents the exceptional quality of fruit from our Estate Vineyards. In the glass, it presents a deep, inky ruby hue, hinting at its intensity. The nose is expressive, offering layers of dark fruit—blackberry, black cherry, and ripe plum—woven with notes of baking spices. Subtle undertones of cedar, graphite, and tobacco leaf add intrigue and depth.
The palate is rich and structured, with velvety tannins providing a luxurious mouthfeel. Flavors of cassis, anise, dark chocolate, and espresso bean take center stage, complemented by the influence of French oak, which lends toasted spice, nutmeg, and a hint of cigar box. A full, rounded texture carries through to a long, lingering finish, where red fruit and warm spices leave a lasting impression. Built to age beautifully yet approachable in its youth. Drink 2025–2040.
