Tasting Notes
The Stones Speak Estate Syrah hails from the esteemed Rocks District, renowned for its unique terroir and distinctive wines. Simply gorgeous in the glass with a deeply colored, opaque purple hue, hinting at its concentration and depth. On the nose, an ensemble of aromas unfolds, with intense notes of seared meat, ripe red fruit, blueberry compote, and crushed violets, underscored by nuances of graphite, and cracked black pepper. Layers of complexity reveal themselves with each swirl, showcasing the wine’s pedigree and sense of place. The palate is equally impressive, with a full-bodied, opulent texture and velvety richness. Ripe red and black fruits mingle harmoniously with savory elements of cured meats, olive tapenade, and hints of charred earth, creating a multi-dimensional flavor profile that adds to the wine’s hedonistic charm. The finish is long and lingering and will leave the taster yearning to know more about how the wine acquires these funky, briny, savory characteristics. Drink 2024-2038.
